Betheny

Well, to start this 28-yr old Woman would be nothing without God, but with his grace I am a wife to the husband of a lifetime. I am a mother of two daughters and two step daughters.

I teach the yoga and total body fitness classes at the Revitalize Yoga and Wellness Studio. I am currently in the middle of receiving my Yoga instructor certificate.

I can’t get enough of fitness competing and modeling as an IFBB Pro Bikini Body Builder. A current goal I have going right now is “Mastering Stillness” and becoming one with my creator. I am super grateful to be alive and to have prospered through all the ups and down of this rough road we call life!

Cynthia

My name is Cynthia Ford, wife of 39 years, mother of 4, grandmother of 6, and a certified fitness instructor. A few years ago, I lost 50 pounds and decided to commit to a healthier lifestyle.  With encouragement and a lot of help from my fitness instructor at a gym where I worked out, I began teaching 10-20 minute segments of classes.  I discovered a passion for interacting with the class; sharing with others what I’ve learned, watching them get stronger, experiencing fun and camaraderie with those attending class.  To ensure that I was teaching correctly, I decided to pursue fitness training.  I’ve trained and taught the following formats:  Group Resistance Weight Training, Cycle, Kickboxing, Cycle Bootcamp and Zumba.  I currently hold the following certifications:  Group Exercise Instructor with Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA); Zumba Instructor with Zumba Fitness, LLC; and Healthways Instructor with SilverSneakers Fitness Program.   I currently teach classes at Revitalize Yoga and Wellness, 24 Hour Fitness, In-Shape Health Club, local fitness groups, and participate in community health programs.

My goal is to promote fitness, fun and health.  To encourage people of all ages and size, that you can always participate in an exercise program and reap the benefits!

Laura: Yoga

My name is Laura Nash. I love yoga! I especiallyLaura: Yoga love the healing and nurturing aspects of it and the opportunity to allow each and every person, regardless of level or ability, to experience their best selves from their deep inner workings and allow their true selves to shine forth. I have experience with beginners, vinyasa flow, restorative, prenatal yoga, adaptive yoga, hands on therapeutic yoga massage, restorative yoga, yoga Nidra, mudras, pranayama practices and yoga fusion styles.

I have learned that facilitating the care and wellness of others is an essential part of our own well-being. For we are all connected and therefore, the better everyone is doing, well, the better everyone is doing.

My goal is to allow for deeper expression of poses,  as well as good alignment, support and relaxation.

I  am currently studying Yoga Therapy at Niroga Institute in Oakland in preparation to expand my work with people living with mobility restrictions due to illness, injury or disease.

I long to be surrounded by like-minded souls that share similar passions and commitments: a plight for positive change in ourselves, in our communities and therefore, a positive change in our world.

Starting in October, I am happy to announce that I will be teaching Restorative Yoga twice weekly at Revitalize Yoga and Wellness in Pittsburg. Restorative Yoga is a passive form of yoga in which bolsters, blankets, other props and gentle assists are used to facilitate fully supported poses so the body can enjoy deep and purposeful rest. Restorative Yoga is a great practice for the overactive mind and body, for healing current or old injuries, reducing stress, and for bringing overall balance and well-being  back  to the mind. body and spirit  body by way of deep relaxation and letting go.

This class is an hour and is open to all levels.

In Love, Light and Peace~

Laura Jennifer Nash

Jasmin Zumba AKA DULCE

My name is Jasmin ( Zumba AKA DULCE) .I was born and raised in the island of Puerto Rico and I love teaching Zumba classes. The reason is simple: Every class feels like a party! “I believe music is the hidden language of  the soul” and growing up in a Caribbean island full of different Latin music and so, many different rhythms is definitely part of me and my culture and I can feel it in my blood.

I enjoy all kinds of music and people from different backgrounds and culture, also seeing amazing results many people get from just doing Zumba, because is a great fun way of working out. Zumba is all about having fun and dancing like no one is watching. It is not a competition. When I’m not doing Zumba I coordinate programs for a community organization. Helping the community is also, another one of my passion in life J.

Come and join us, I guarantee you will have a blast!  I look forward to meeting you! Sincerely, Dulce, Zumba Basic, Zumba Gold and Zumba Kids, Zumba Toning License Instructor.

Carrie

Carrie finds the simple comfort of life right on her yoga mat. Her teaching comes straight from the heart and her personal experiences overcoming physical and mental challenges, both on and off the mat. She believes life is like a yoga class. The physical and mental trials intersect on the mat and prepare us for unexpected life tests.

Carrie is a nurturing and intuitive instructor with a calm, yet dynamic voice. She is known for her bright energy and compassionate spirit. Her power Vinyasa classes are non-judgmental and energetic that create balance between strength and inner stillness. She strives to help students open their mind, body and heart to inspire a healthier, happier life.

Yien

Bay area native, passionate for healthy living of the mind, body, and spirit; after all, our bodies like Gandhi said, “..is the only place we have to live”. I believe in cultivating the mind and spirit, there we will continue to peel the layers of ourselves and further blossom with new knowledge, new attitude, new breath, new energies, and new connections with the world and within ourselves. Although I practiced yoga sporadically since 2008, my intense and gratifying journey began in 2014. After I felt the many benefits of what yoga did for me, I decided to dive deeper into my practice and create an extension of myself to the community by joining a teacher training program. I am near completion of a 200-hr RYS Teacher Training Program from Corepower Yoga, Berkeley, California; continual practice and acquiring in-depth training is a part of my journey and I will continue to share that with the community. Some of my favorite postures are prayer and supine twist for cleansing and detoxifying, and balancing such as dancer’s and eagle pose. When I’m off the mat, you’ll find me with my son beaching it out, rain or shine at the park, and even striking a downward-facing dog or happy baby pose, both me and my son!

Stephanie: Zumba, Cardio Zumba

Hello, my name is Stephanie Posada and I would like to introduce myself; I’m a certified Zumba Instructor and a single mother with a beautiful 4 yr. old little girl. I currently work fulltime in Martinez for a Security Company who focuses on security for all Technology around the world.  My title at my job is an Inside Sales/Customer Service Coordinator/Admin Assistant. I also attend college to achieve my Master’s Degree in Teaching and Business. I’m fluent in Spanish speaking, born and raised in the United States. Both of my parents were both raised in El Salvador, where most of my family is located. That’s where my passion for Zumba took place due to my background. I love to dance and my body moves very well to all kinds of music from different countries. I started attending Zumba in year 2010 after my daughter was born. I use to feel very self-contiguous about my weight and had low self-esteem. I remember the first time I attended a Zumba class; it was very over whelming for me because I was not use to dancing in a class and in front of others.  That’s when I was noticed from another member at the gym that I currently attend, he saw me dancing on the side of the group x room alone and notice how my body moved so well to the music. He mentioned this to the Instructor of Zumba and requested in the next class to take me up to the front. Bryan who is the current instructor at 24 Hour Fitness in Antioch and Concord asked me to come up front and dance with him. I was so frightened as a student for the first time, but as several months passed by I began to build confidence and I was asked by other students to become an Instructor so that I may have my own class and teach Zumba.  Thanks to all my fellow friends who are my mentor’s and because of their confidence in me I became a Zumba Instructor and I love what I do. I love to help others achieve what they want in life and accomplish their goals in weight loss. I thank God every day that I’m blessed with wonderful friends & family who support me in everything I do in life. God has worked wonders in my life. I’m so blessed with everything that I have.
